Jom Kitar Semula Pesawat

Kitar Semula... itu adalah senario biasa yang kita dengar di dalam usaha untuk mengurangkan penggunaan sumber bahan mentah di dalam penghasilan sesuatu produk seperti besi, kertas, dan sebagainya. Antara bahan yang boleh dikitar semula adalah tin minuman, botol plastik atau kaca, kertas, kotak dan surat khabar. Tetapi adakah kita terfikir bahawa pesawat juga boleh dikitar semula?.

Kitar semula pesawat ini, sama seperti kitar semula bahan yang lain. Perbezaannya pesawat lebih besar daripada bahan yang biasa untuk dikitar yang terdapat dirumah. Kapal terbang atau pesawat yang lama mempunyai banyak aluminum, besi dan bahan - bahan yang mempunyai nilai untuk dikitar.

Antara sekarang hingga tahun 2024, sebanyak 7,200 pesawat komersial - termasuk Boeing 747 dan 737 dan Airbus A320 dan model A340 - akan dilupuskan, dan selebihnya iaitu 18,000 pesawat masih lagi beroperasi.

Boeing pada tahun 2006 telah menubuhkan "Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association" dan sebanyak 34 buah syarikat usahasama bergabung bertujuan untuk meningkatkan tahap kitar semula pesawat ini hingga 90 peratus daripada 60 peratus.
Boeing 707 ini adalah salah sebuah pesawat dari ribuan pesawat yang dikitar semula, dan dikumpulkan di padang pasir di Arizona, Nevada, dan California. (Gambar atas)

Dari bahagian luar pesawat, kerusi, roda, dan sebagainya, kira-kira 80 peratus bahan daripada pesawat boleh digunakan semula. Menurut Boeing, untuk menceraikan bahagian sesebuah pesawat memakan masa selama sebulan.




Mekanik akan membuka enjin, sistem kawalan, pam, bateri, sayap pesawat serta bahagian yang masih berfungsi dan dihantar kepada penjual untuk dijadikan alat ganti terpakai pesawat.



Logam, Logam Alloy, plastik, bahan komposit yang telah dipisahkan akan dijual kepada broker barangan lusuh.
Produk yang mengandungi bahan kimia beracun, seperti cecair hidraulik akan dibuang secara berasingan dan mengikut langkah yang ditetapkan oleh undang-undang.

Diluar pasaran industri barangan lusuh ini, terdapat sebilangan kecil pereka perabot yang telah mengubahsuai komponen pesawat kepada perabot.



Seperti yang telah dilakukan oleh pemilik syarikat perabot Moto Art iaitu Dave Hall yang telah mereka sebuah meja bernilai $12,ooo yang dibina dari sayap pesawat jenis Lockheed C-130. Pesawat ini dahulunya digunakan sebagai kargo tentera dan operasi perubatan serta misi kemanusiaan sejak tahun 1950.


Di sebelah kiri ini adalah "ejection seat" dari pesawat pejuang jenis B52, dan ditukar menjadi kerusi yang bernilai $4,900.















Gambar ini pula adalah meja bulat yang dimanfaatkan dari roda Boeing 707.




Bruce Campbell membeli Boeing 727 dengan harga $100,000 dan menukar fungsi pesawat tersebut sebagai rumah yang terletak di Portland. Pesawat tersebut mempunyai keluasan 1,066 meter persegi.


Kesimpulannya, kitar semula ini lebih banyak mendatangkan kebaikan, tidak kira sama ada ianya bahan dari tin minuman, kertas atau pun sebuah pesawat. Selain dari dapat mengurangkan penggunaan bahan mentah, kitar semula dapat menjana ekonomi sebuah syarikat mahupun individu. Jadi bersamalah kita menjaga alam sekitar dan lakukan kitar semula.

McDonald's History



Mungkin dikalangan kita memang gemar makan di restoran segera seperti McDonald's dan pelbagai lagi produk "Fast Food" di luar sana. Tapi, tahukah anda akan sejarah penubuhan McDonald's ini? Post kali ini memberikan sedikit maklumat tentang sejarah syarikat ini..


  • 1948 – McDonalds is founded, Dick and Mac McDonald’s shut down their restaurant for three month for alterations, In December it reopens as a self-service drive-in restaurant.
  • 1949 – World famous French Fries, French Fries replace potato chips on the McDonald’s menu
  • 1954 – Ray Kroc’s Trip West, Multimixer salesman Ray Kroc visits McDonald’s in San Bernardino intending to sell the brothers more Multimixers. The 52 years old Ray Kroc is fascinated by the operation. He learns from the brothers that they are looking for a nationwide franchising agent. He has an epiphany and is determined that his future would be hamburger.
  • 1955 – Des Plaines location open, Kroc opens his first McDonald’s in Des Plaines, Illinois on April 15. The attention getting red and white tiled building with the Golden Arches was designed by architect Stanley Meston in 1953. First day sales are $366.12. By 1965 there would be over 700 McDonald’ restaurants throughout United States.
  • 1956 – Fred Turner Hired, Kroc’s hires future McDonald’s Chairman, Fred Turner to work as a counter man for the Des Plaines McDonald’s. Turner would soon become the McDonald’s Operation defining the quality, service and cleanliness that continue to this day.
  • 1958 – 100 Million sold; McDonald’s sell 100 Millionth hamburgers.
  • 1959 – 100th Restaurant, The 100th restaurant opens in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.

  • 1961 – Hamburger University Opens, in the basement of the Elk Grove Villa, Illinois, McDonald’s restaurant. Graduates received Bachelor Hamburgerology degrees.

New Slashed ‘M’ logo, A modernistic Golden Arches logo inspired by the McDonald’s red and white building slanted roof replaces “Speedee” as the company logo.

  • 1962 – First indoor seating, McDonald’s in Denver, Colorado becomes the first restaurant with inside seating.
  • 1963 – 500th Restaurant, The 500th restaurant opens in Toledo, Ohio.

Filet-O-Fish Introduce, The Filet-O-Fish sandwich was the first item added to the national menu in 1965. Created by Lou Groen, McDonald’s Cincinnati franchisee to help build volume in the predominately Roman Catholic community in which his store was located.

  • 1965 – 10th Anniversary, McDonald’s celebrates its 10th Anniversary with the first public stock offering at $22.50 per share.
  • 1966 – First Television Commercial, Ronald McDonald appears in first national television commercial. He appeared on his “Flying Hamburger” in 35 one minutes color spots on the NBC and CBS networks. He had wide TV exposure through his appearance in 1966 at Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. Ronald was an instant it.
  • 1967 – McDonald’s Goes International, The first international McDonald’s restaurant open in Canada and Puerto Rico. Today McDonald’s restaurants are in 118 countries on the world.
  • 1968 – Big Mac Introduced, The Big Mac, developed by Owner/Operator Jim Delligatti of Pittsburgh, is added to the national menu.

Hot Apple Pie Introduced, The hot Apple Pie developed by Knoxville franchisee Litton Cochran is added to the national menu.

1000th Restaurant, The 1,000th restaurant opens in Des Plaines, Illinois.

McDonalds New Building, The new McDonald’s mansard roof building design is introduce to replace the red and white tile building.

  • 1969 – Golden Arches Update, The McDonald’s logo underwent a major change. Massive remodeling of restaurants did away with old red and white building and more emphasis was placed on the ever-more-famous Golden Arches.
  • 1971 – Ronald’s New Friends, Hamburglar, Grimace, Mayor McCheese, Captain Crook, and the Big Mac join Ronald McDonald in McDonaldland.
  • 1973 – Quarter Pounder Debuts, The Quarter Pounder and Quarter Pounder with Cheese are added to the menu.
  • 1974 – First Ronal McDonald House Charities Opens (RMHC), The first RMHC opens in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1973, Fred Hill, a football player with Philadelphia Eagles, had the need for such a facility at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, where his children was being treated for leukemia. Hill’s dilemma led to the first Ronald McDonald House.
  • 1975 – Breakfast at McDonald’s, The Egg McMuffin, created by Owner/Operator Herb Peterson of Santa Barbara, California is added to the national menu.

First Drive-Thru, The first drive-thru is opened in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Soldier from nearby Fort Huachuca were forbidden to get out of their car in army fatigues. McDonald’s solved the problem by installing a drive-thru. McDonald’s added drive-thru later in Georgia, and Oklahoma City.

  • 1977 – All American H.S Basketball Team, First McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Team is selected. The roster included former NBA superstar Earvin “Magic” Johnson. They played against Capital All Star team chosen from Washington D.C/Maryland/Virginia area in the McDonald’s Capital Classic.
  • 1978 – 5,000th Restaurant opens in Kanagawa, Japan.
  • 1979 – Happy Meals Debuts, Happy Meals introduced to the national menu featuring a circus wagon theme.
  • 1980 – 25th Anniversary, McDonald’s celebrates its silver (25th) Anniversary.

6000th Restaurant, opens in Munich, Germany.

  • 1981 – International Growth, The first McDonald’s restaurants in Spain, Denmark and Philippines.
  • 1983 – McDonald’s in 32 countries, There are 7,778 restaurant around the world.

New Hamburger University, open in Oak Brook, Illinois.

Chicken McNugget Added, introduced into all domestic restaurants.

  • 1984 – Ray Kroc Passes Away, dies on January 14.

Olympic Swim Stadium, McDonald’s and its franchisees provided the funding to build Olympic Swim Stadium in Los Angeles.

A Good Time for a New Theme, In June, McDonald’s introduces a new national advertising theme, “It’s a Good Time for the Great Taste Of McDonald’s”

  • 1985 – 30th Anniversary, On April 15, McDonald’s celebrates its 30th year of operation.
  • 1987 – Fresh Salad Added, Freshly tossed salads are added to the McDonald’s national menu on May 15.
  • 1988 – Our Famous Hamburgers, Fortune Magazine names McDonald’s Hamburgers among 100 products America makes best.

10,000th Restaurant, opens in Dale City, Virginia, on April 6.

  • 1990 – Moscow Location Opens, On January 3, the first McDonald’s restaurant is opens.
  • · 1992 – Warsaw Location Opens, McDonald’s opens in Warsaw, Poland, breaking records of opening day sales.
  • 1995 – Have You Had Your Break Today, The new advertising theme “Have You Had Your Break Today?” Debuts.
  • 1996 – McDonald.com Launched, McDonald’s Corporate Internet site McDonald.com is inaugurated.
  • 1997 – Did Somebody Say McDonald’s? New advertising theme, “Did Somebody Say McDonald’s?” is added.
  • 2001 – Big N’ Tasty Introduced, McDonald’s new premier lettuce and tomato Big N’ Tasty sandwich launches on February 16.
  • 2003 – Premium Salad Added, McDonald’s Premium Salad are added in national menu.

First HFC Restaurant, McDonald’s Denmark opens the world’s first HFC (hydroflurocarbon) - free restaurant in Vejle, Denmark.

McGriddles Introduced, McGriddles are added to the national menu.

I’m lovin’ it, First global ad campaign “I’m lovin’ it”, is launched in Munich, Germany on September 2.

  • 2004 – Happy Meals Turn 25, The Happy Meals celebrate 25 years, 1979-2004.
  • 2005 – 50th Anniversary, McDonalds celebrates its 50th Anniversary on April 15.
  • 2006 – Snack Wrap Introduced, Snack Wrap is introduced in U.S.

Nutritional Info Added to Packaging,McDonald’s launched the worldwide rollout of nutritional information on packaging at the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games.

  • 2007 – Packaging Update, McD’s new packaging features 24 faces from first-ever casting-call.
  • 2008 – Global Packaging Redesign, McDonald’s introduces the most suitable comprehensive global packaging design in the Brand’s story.

0 Grams Trans Fat, On May 22, McDonald’s announce that all chicken products, Fillet O Fish, Hash Brown, and our world famous French Fries serve in all U.S. McDonald’s restaurants are now 0 grams trans fat per labeled serving.

1,000th Restaurant in China, McDonald’s China opens its 1000th restaurant in Dongguan, China.

  • 2009 – McCafe Goes International, McCafe coffees including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas are added to the national menu on May 5.

Angus Third Pounders Introduced, Angus Third Pounder burgers are launched on July in three choices.

McDonald’s Awarded for Being Green, McDonald’s Corporation Campus Office Building (COB) received one of the most prestigious Green Building Awards that exists; LEED-EB Platinum.

Mac Snack Wrap Introduced,McDonald’s added the Mac Snack Wrap to its Snack Wrap lines.

  • 2010 – McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies and Frappes, are introduced nationally in the U.S. on July 13. The Strawberry Banana and Wild Berry Real Fruit Smoothies and Mocha and Caramel Frappes are available in three sizes.

McDonald’s Offers Visitors Free Wi-Fi, in the U.S., McDonald’s offers free Wi-Fi in over 11,000 restaurants.
